How does the process work?

After completing the Contact form, I will review any attached documents and call you within a few hours. During the call, we will discuss your timeline, the services you need, your career goals, your current resume, the grant application, etc. Then, I will send you an invoice for the services. From there, you can use any major credit or debit card and any electronic payment methods to place your order. Your account must be paid in full before I will release your draft documents. You’ll receive an order confirmation via email receipt.

Then, your documents will arrive via email for you to download. I do not use links or services like Google Docs because these strip the important formatting on the documents and cause delays.

 

Throughout the writing process, you will be able to correspond directly with me, add additional services, and maintain and update your submitted files.

I keep your documents on file in case you ever lose your copy. Just contact me and I will happily supply your files.

None of my clients have ever needed this service--but there is always a first! 

When can I expect my resume?

My standard turnaround time is 48 hours. I do offer FASTER service as well. Simply let me know you need a “RUSH” document (within 10 business hours with my fastest option). Clients who have more than five positions in the last 10 years may take a little longer to write. We will discuss this during your initial consultation.

Do you make sure I pass the ATS scan?

I do prepare your resume with ATS scanning in mind. This means your resume may look very plain to you. This is because colored blocks, icons, photos, and tables confuse the computers when scanning your document. Even the file type you use is important! Certain employment positions do require your resume to be ATS-ready and many clients want "pretty" resumes that are not ATS-friendly. 

*If a non-ATS friendly resume is required, my 90-day guarantee that you will receive an interview is void. However, several of my clients have been successful landing the positions they wanted with this type of resume.

What if I have employment gaps or am changing careers?

I am extremely skilled at handling ANY career situation! Over the course of more than 8 years and 1300+ resume projects, I've seen it all. I excel at compiling your previous career data to meet new career objectives and draw attention away from employment gaps and other potential negatives.

What services do you offer?

I offer expert resume writing, attention-grabbing cover letters, interview follow-up letters, career coaching via telephone, LinkedIn profile writing/editing, and practice interviewing by phone. Whatever your needs are, just ask! I will go over pricing and services with you during our initial consultation. 

Can I order just a cover letter if I don't need a resume?

Yes! You can order a cover letter, thank you letter, LinkedIn Profile, or any combination of my professional services without ordering a resume!

How do I decide which type of resume I need?

This is something we will discuss during your initial phone call. If you are a student, recent graduate, or have VERY little experience in the workforce, you will need a Standard Resume. If you have up to 10 years of experience in ANY field or industry (even if you are making a career change), you will need a mid-career resume. Similarly, if you are seeking a high-level executive, military, or government position, there are specialized resumes for those options. I will make sure you receive the correct resume for your needs.

Am I able to speak to the writer over the phone?

Our relationship begins by you completing a contact form. Then, a phone call will be completed to review your needs. During this call, I have specific questions to ask you that will help me understand your goals and needs.

During the writing and revision process, corresponding by email represents the most convenient way for us to communicate. In today's busy world, many clients find it difficult to be reached at the right phone number at the right time and that can cause delays in the resume writing process.

You are able to email me ANYTIME and get a FAST response. I am the only writer and deliver personalized service to my clients. 

Do you guarantee that I get a job?

- I GUARANTEE that your resume will only be written by me. I am English-speaking and from the United States.

- I GUARANTEE that I will make any necessary revisions to your resume. I give each client 30 days to make revisions; however, revisions are usually complete within 10 days, on average.

- I GUARANTEE that I will deliver your documents to you on time.

- I GUARANTEE that you will receive an interview offer within 60 days of using your resume and distributing it to prospective employers* while following my advice. I'll revise your resume for free if you are not being called for interviews.

*You have 90 days from receipt of your original purchase to file a claim. All claims must be accompanied by receipts showing you submitted your new resume to at least 40 employers using our recommended methods.

Do you use AI to write my resume?

I do not use AI to write. Wording created by AI is often not grammatically correct and uses more words than necessary. Since the number of words in your document is important, I personally write every word!
