In modern times, ballet is not just a theatre show, but has been incorporated in mainstream Hollywood movies like Billy Elliot which shows the life of a male ballet dancer. This is how far ballet has gone from being a short dance performed as an intermission in theatrical plays, until now where it has become one of the major dances that people are choosing to learn.
