What To Use As A Headstone Inscription
Headstones of famous people can be found in cemeteries all over the world, and lots of them contain inscriptions written either by or about the deceased. These epitaphs, far from being simply morbid, are often very interesting.
A good example is the headstone of William Shakespeare, which reads: “Good friend, for Jesus’ sake forbear, To dig the dust enclosed here, Blessed be the man that spares these stones, And cursed be he that moves my bones”.
The reasoning behind this inscription is that he lived in fear of his body being dug up or moved after he had been buried. Fortunately, Shakespeare’s grave, which is in the English town of Stratford has remained, as he desired, untouched.
John Keats’s headstone, which is in Rome, is adorned with the design of a lyre with broken strings, which was added by Keats’s friends Joseph Severn and Charles Brown, and contains no mention of his name. He wanted only the following inscription: “Here lies one whose name was writ in water”.
Severn and Brown, however, later added the following: “This grave contains all that was mortal of a young English poet who on his death bed in the bitterness of his heart at the malicious power of his enemies desired these words to be engraven on his tomb stone”.
The location of Robin Hood’s headstone is at a priory in Kirklees, which is in England, has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. Unfortunately, it is not actually where he was buried! The grave has been moved at least three times.
The original headstone disappeared some time after 1665. A replica was made, but this was chipped to pieces by 18th-century canal workers who were convinced that a little bit of Robin Hood’s headstone would cure toothache.
With a little bit of research, you will probably find that there are a few headstones in cemeteries near you that belong to famous people from past times. Though it may not make a great hobby per se, spending a day visiting these makes for an interesting and cheap day out.
Alternatively, you can just use Google images, where you will find plenty of images of headstones belonging to famous people. Finding out what your deceased heroes decided to leave as their farewell message can really make you see them in a new light.

Recycling Containers : A Short Guide For Company Recycling Schemes
There are numerous issues that need to be considered when setting up a new recycling scheme in your company. For example, what types of waste will be recycled, how much waste will be produced, what type of containers will be required, and do these need to adhere to a particular color scheme? With all these different, and sometimes confusing, factors to think about, it is easy to forget to take into consideration the environmental impact of the recycling bins themselves.
A large proportion of recycling and waste bins are manufactured from durable plastic (polypropylene), and a around 8% of global annual oil production is currently used in the manufacturing of plastics. Extracting this finite resource requires vast amounts of energy, and the process of plastic production uses harmful chemicals, whilst emitting pollutants and greenhouse gases. It is easy to see how, despite being created for an environmentally beneficial use, the manufacturing process of recycling bins still have detrimental effects.
Fortunately, there are things that you can do to minimize the negative effects that result from recycling bins…
1) Purchase quality products. Look for containers that are durable and well constructed. Those used commercially will need to withstand far greater wear and tear than those used within homes. Opt for well made products that will last for years to come. Many recycling schemes will become self funding in just a few years from the cost savings of diverting waste from landfill.
2) Purchase second-hand containers. The optimal way to minimize environmental impacts in waste management is through re-using existing products. If you can find good quality second-hand or unwanted recycling containers then this prevents the bins from simply being discarded and provides you with a very cost effective scheme. You would be surprised at how many large corporations end up with redundant containers from an altered pilot recycling project or simple change in color scheme.
3) Choose products manufactured from recycled plastic. Many containers are now manufactured with at least some recycled plastic. This will reduce the need for extraction of virgin materials and also reduces energy consumption and emissions during the production process. As an example, producing recycled plastic carrier bags uses two thirds less energy, and 90% less water, compared to virgin production.
4) Source from the right places. Source products that are manufactured in the same country as your own. Reducing the distance needed to deliver the goods will help reduce the overall carbon footprint of them.

Why You Need Self Defense Products
If you are like most people, you live life never expecting to have a need for self defense weapons. You probably feel that to own such devices as a stun gun or canister of pepper spray means you are owning up to the reality that it could quite possibly happen to you some day. You are also thinking if you don't think about self defense, it will never be needed. This type of thinking is dangerous. The sad fact of the matter is, the world is an unsafe place. Personal security devices are important to have around nowadays. Here's a couple of reasons why:
