However, he lost to the pound for pound champion Floyd Mayweather and then suffered a devastating stoppage lost against the next pound for pound champion Manny Pacquiao.

After his loss to Manny Pacquiao, the Golden Boy decided to hang up the gloves and didnt have it in him anymore. Oscar fans still remember the champ he was!

De La Hoya was just as impressive outside of the ring with his help to US and Mexican people who were not doing well. His amazing career could only be dreamed of by other up and coming boxers and fellow great boxers alike. The Golden Boys memorabilia is still only going to increase in value.
