Mitsubishi Used Lancer – Options

Coupes can serve many purposes in an automaker’s lineup. The first is the Eclipse, which was introduced in the 1980’s as a compact car which offered not only a fuel-saving 4-cylinder engine but also a high-performance turbo option that quickly found favor with hordes of compact car tuning enthusiasts. This article examines the best generations of each of these used coupes, the 1998 – 1999 Mitsubishi 3000 GT and the 2006 – 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Each vehicle is examined in detail in order to provide secondhand car shoppers with the knowledge they need to choose the Used Mitsubishi coupe that best suits their requirements.

1998 – 1999 Mitsubishi 3000 GT
Never before had car buyers in the United States been presented with an option like the Mitsubishi 3000 GT. The base model is powered by a 161 horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine fitted with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. This vehicle presents buyers with a twin-turbo V6 that cranks out an impressive 320 horsepower along with 315 lb-ft of torque. The VR-4 is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Inside the 3000 GT, plenty of luxury goodies await. Although the car is large on the outside, the cockpit wraps around driver and passenger like a glove, with rear passengers best advised to find another way home – it’s tight behind the front seats. The car’s electronic gauges and unique displays contribute to the jet fighter feel engendered by the low-slung seating arrangement and plentiful power accessories that are sprinkled throughout the vehicle’s interior.

The 1998 – 1999 Mitsubishi 3000 GT is a special car, and an uncommonly fast used coupe. While the non-turbo versions of the car are attractively styled, the VR-4 is definitely the model to target for drivers who enjoy being on the edge of the performance envelope.

2006 – 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The latest generation of used entry-level coupes from Mitsubishi abandons the somewhat polarizing, angular styling of the outgoing model and introduces a more organic shape resembling a compromise between the swoopy Eclipse of old and the more recent, chunkier designs. Mitsubishi also updated the engines for this version of their iconic coupe, adding new 4 and 6-cylinder mills to the mix. The base GS coupe is powered by a 2.4-liter engine which makes 162 horsepower, while the GT boasts a 3.8-liter power plant that adds 2 additional cylinders to help generate 263 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel drive Eclipse comes with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic when ordered with the 4-cylinder engine, while V-6 models are equipped with an extra forward gear for each transmission.

The interior of the 2006 – 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse is a combination of functionality and style, as the vehicle feels a bit more upscale than models past. The Eclipse can have its cloth seats upgraded to leather in higher trim levels, but most buyers will be happy with the long list of standard features that the base model provides: air conditioning, an MP3-capable stereo system, a leather-wrapped shifter and power windows and door locks.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse has always been a popular used coupe amongst those who want to step away from the Honda Civic / Toyota Corolla norm and drive something with more unique styling. The 2006 – 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse is the best version of the compact sports coupe to have hit the secondhand market in the past ten years. Find more information about used mitsubishi car here.

Mitsubishi 3000GT: The Cost Of Customization

A common misconception when it comes to car modifications is that it takes a lot of money in order to have a great looking car. If you have a Mitsubishi 3000GT, you can prove everybody wrong. Mitsubishi% LINK1% are relatively inexpensive. With other cars, you are likely to spend thousands of dollars in order to make it look spanking and red-hot. Sometimes the cost of customization is almost equal to or more than the actual cost of the stock car. That would never happen when modifying the 3000GT.

You see if you have an extra $400 to about $2500, you can already buy a complete set of 3000GT body kits. It seems unbelievable, right? Well, you can check online for yourself. Anyway, the car parts that are included with a complete set of body kits are usually parts that you would need in the future. Take for example a front bumper. If you have had your 3000GT for about five to six years now, its front bumper probably have signs of damage. You may have rear-ended someone with your car. Or the debris kicked up by the car in front of you probably dealt damage to it. In those cases, you can buy a set of 3000GT body kits that are better than the stock parts.

Custom parts are often better than stock parts because manufacturers were able to improve upon the latter. The composite materials are improved as well as the functionality. And the icing on the cake is, they have also paid attention to making them more stylish. With regards to body kits accessories, these are less expensive. A canvassing of stores would reveal that you would only need $70 to $300 for any of the following: air ducts; splitters; diffusers; hood scoops; end caps, and more.

Aside from the usual 3000GT body kits that are found in the market, there are several other modifications that you can make. You can bring back the old active aerodynamics; that means the automatically-adjusting front and rear spoilers. You can add PIAA driving lights, which aside from making the front end of your vehicle look more dazzling, would improve your illumination at night. You can have your windows re-tinted. Or buy sail panels or a back center panel. Some would go as far as changing the hood itself and adding scoops at the same time.

You can even go old-school and have your car modified to look just like a 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT. With the endless selection of 3000GT body kits in the market, it is fairly easy to do that. If you look hard enough online, you may be able to find step by step guidelines on how to turn your conventional sports car into a modern, high-end sports car. Remember to stick by the safety standards, however. That can be the tricky part. Ask around before you make changes just to be sure. Apart from that, you can go crazy and spice up your ride in every possible way.

Looking For Unique TV Stands?

Do you enjoy standing out from the crowd. I know I do. I don't mind how the rest of the world goes round and I don't dislike the status quo, but, I really love that feeling that I am unlike anyone else--that I have my own tastes and styles that others may not consider proper or even acceptable at times. May I'm just naive, but I am always very comfortable with my decisions I make, not because they are rogue but because they are genuinely good decisions.

Unique TV Stands

Are you someone who likes to be different? I am. I don't mind the status quo. I don't disdain or necessarily protest the way the world goes around. I do, however, like to feel that I have my own style and unique taste regardless of what is considered to be proper or even acceptable sometimes. That may be a bit naive, I admit, but I still strive to feel comfortable in my choices because, I like them, not because they are in vogue.
